
When the traditions cease. . . The family fades from each other.
It was when my family no longer felt the need to participate in what had been traditions for years that I began to distance myself.
It was because of these disappointments and let downs that I began to cease desiring -- I no longer cared for holidays. I no longer cared for family get-togethers.
I ceased feeling at all.
